The Butterworth Gallery
The Butterworth Gallery
Formerly the old village shop and post office, complete with old petrol pump and red telephone box, The Butterworth Gallery at Ballogie is a 3 star visitor attraction which hosts a permanent display of original artwork by Howard Butterworth and his daughter Mary Louise. A surprising mix of traditional and contemporary, the gallery is run by Howard's eldest daughter Sarah and a warm and friendly welcome always awaits it's customers who come from all over the world, time and time again.
This bright, spacious and airy gallery also sells the complete range of Butterworth Studios Ltd. publications. Limited edition giclees and lithographic prints, both framed and unframed, are all available alongside a large selection of greeting cards. Many of these images are also now available as collectors wooden jigsaws and coasters. Situated on the scenic South Deeside Road (B976), halfway between Banchory and Aboyne on Royal Deeside and with ample car and coach space, this unique gallery is an unexpected find in the middle of nowhere!
