Wander as you please through Royal Deeside in the Cairngorms.
There is something special about being able to get out into the great outdoors and experience the sights, sounds and beauty of an area.
Here in Royal Deeside we know all about that, as the area is blessed with its fair share of unspoilt and special landscape. Part situated within the wonderful setting of the Cairngorms National Park and part in the fresh rolling landscapes of Aberdeenshire, the area really has the best of both environments and worlds.
Combine that with one of the most versatile of all holidays such as camping and caravanning and you really can wander as you please.
From camp sites, country cabins, lodges, hired campers or touring with your own state of the art caravan or motorhome, then you can really experience the beauty and fresh air of the great outdoors all in a weekend, week or even longer.
Royal Deeside has such inspiring scenery with its spectacular mountains, lochs and glens, however it is also home to more than 100 species of rare and endangered animals and plants.
A natural paradise, step quietly and you may encounter the wildlife for yourself. Otters, pine martens and even wildcats prowl this diverse landscape, which is also home to the endangered red squirrel.
The area also offers some of the best walking in Scotland and as would be expected is a very popular activity. Several Munros (mountains over 3,000 ft.) can be accessed from the Braemar area. But don’t worry if climbing mountains is not really your thing, there are lots of other options to choose from.
